I keep two bottles one is m,arked 5-1 and the other is straight. I use the 5-1 first and if that doesn't work then I use the straight stuff. There really are somethings it won't clean but they are few and far between. On vinyl I ALWAYS rinse the vinyl real good with plain clean water after using any chemical.

I just mix my solution in a gallon bucket and just use a soft brisel brush. To get into the pleats I use a small paint brush, then rinse and dry. The worse I had was when I was towing home from the Ozarks and got behind a super rich running semi, it covered the boat with soot. I mixed the Awesome alittle extra strong and started scrubbing. Took about 4 hours to do the entire boat, inside and out, and power wash the carpet and Bimini boot. That pretty much kicked my decision to buy a trailering cover. Thats another story for another day.

Not meaning to change subject but picked up some magic erasers the other day. Anyone know what is in them? Looked on the box for ingredients and didn't see anything. Have not really tried on anything less wiping out the sink and they worked really well.

Just hope you don't disappear. ;)

Mixing cleaning chemicals can have unexpected results.

My ex was cleaning the bathroom and soaked the shower walls with Tilex, then decided to put some Windex on the shower door. The resulting chlorine gas from the overspray almost killed her.

Start with elbow grease and less strong detergents--like car wash detergent found @ Auto Zone or Advanced Auto Parts. If they don't do the job, then go up in strength. You will eventually find something that works.

I really like the Zep professional cleaning products @ Home Depot. Their orange smelling spray detergent removes paint on my hands much better than any commercial hand cleaner on the market. It's great used on laundry--and will also remove paint from blue jeans.

Just don't use Awesome at full strength if you can get by with it diluted. Full strength Awesome will take the paint off any aluminum sheeting on your pontoon fencing. It's the only product that will get black streaks off aluminum sided travel trailers, and my local RV repair buys Awesome by the case. Unfortunately, I'm needing to repaint my trailer after using Awesome a few years.

Tilex fumes also activate CO detectors. Found this out recently :rofl :rofl
