Pretty respectable speed. With that rig you probably could use a jack plate. Been toying with the idea myself. got a 243 Bentley with a 150 opti with an enertia prop (15). Right at 40mph. I am still in break in mode also. Less than 10 hrs. Hope to get a lot more use this spring than last year.

Well, me and the wife went for our test ride yesterday, and i will say the ride and acceleration was awesome, but i wasn't impressed with it's top speed althoug it would only tach at 4800 which it should do 5200.. we were going 43 mph 5 on board, 1/2 tank of fuel @ 4800 rpm.... i think if it could have pulled 5200 our speed would have been much better, bear in mind, i'm getting a 6.2 merc.. this was a 5.7 volvo penta.. any thoughts would be welcome.. overall the ptx toon is a petty amazing boat..

Sounds like it might be over propped. To high of a pitch. I first tried my boat with a 17 and could only get 5300 dropped to a 15 enertia and turned 5800 and picked up about 2 mph. Bear in mind it is a two stroke opti. Not sure on the IO's but the 5200 you mentioned is about right.
On a two stroke you pick up about 200 rpms per inch of pitch

go to Boating life Magazine . They tested a 25 ft 2008 Premier Intrigue PTX with Merc 350 Mag (300 hp)which is very close to the same as the 6.2 L (320 hp) for some idea of the the top speed. All I/O hp ratings are at the flywheel not the prop like O/B engines. Hope this help you out. The Premier is a great boat!!

We bought a 25' Premier Escalade with a 225 Verado last year and really love this boat. We opted for the 10' wide version to give use more room for our handicapped daughters wheelchair and I am amazed in the difference in how spacious it feels compared to the standard width boats.

We have had it up to about 40 mph so far and the handling with the PTX option is exceptional. The lake we are on has a great deal of boat traffic and we used to get pounded in our previous 18' glass boat. This one handles the wakes with no problems and we have been shocked at how smooth the ride is in heavy traffic.

We looked hard at a Bennington but since the owner of the local Premier dealership had a handicapped daughter as well and knew how to rig a boat for accessibility, we went with the Premier. It really is a great boat!

Welcome
That's sound like one great boat, speed and plenty of room and I am sure great handling, you got the whole ball of wax in one boat. Probably look hard at the Premier on my next one. Favor them more since usually they are a little more rare on the lakes around here anyway.

It has been a great boat so far. It was interesting as I originally wanted the 225 Yamaha but my dealer recommended the Verado. The reason was for this was for the better hole shot but I believe that we would have been satisfied with the Yammy. Having moved from a two-stroke 115 to a four-stroke 225, I am amazed at how quiet these motor are and at the fuel economy. I believe that I am getting the same or better mileage out of the 225 at cruise (20-22 mph) that I got out of my 115. With that said, cruise on my old boat was at a much higher speed due to hull design.

The only downside to the 10' boat is that it requires a wide load sign for moving it. Since we have ours at slip, we just have the dealer move it for us at the beginning and end of season. In fact, I didn't even buy a trailer for this reason.
