Re: Powered Bimini Top
We got the 10' power arm installed at Bennington but, we have the sweeping arms. They have a slight arc to them and look really sharp.
When we were shopping and i went to Power Arm website, I read that they offered the 10' and 12' sizes and the straight or sweeping arms. So when we placed our order we told them what we wanted.
We go wide open at times with ours up and that is 30-40 mph depending on the load. It does need to be opened fully and be taut so you aren't a parachute. Ours also came with shorter standoffs and we have wished for a bit longer as it is just a bit too low when down and you can't see under it and out the back for traffic, but then my Fathers Day present took care of that. A RPT rear view mirror, awesome!! I get asked about it allll the time.

Re: Powered Bimini Top
I finally got my 12' bimini top adapted to the 10' Power Arm actuator. I had to get a 1-1/2" box tubing and slide my thin wall top frame into the box tubing to connect to the thick wall Power arm tubing. I had to keep the two original middle canvas support frames because of the 12' span. I also kept the factory front and back supports that connects to the railings for when its really windy going into a head wind at faster speeds. When its down the bimini frames are behind the rear seats and when in the up position it covers the drivers helm. It was a lot of work but to go up the river from the lake I'm on I have to go under two bridges and its hard to raise and lower the 12' top.
