I still have a stiff steering but not as bad what it was... :!:

Now I just opened a steering fluid reservoir and I didn't see no fluid :(
I think I need to fill fluid which I didn't have it at the time I was in water, should I try to get air out or will it work just adding the fluid?
Check the book to see what king of fluid to use then refill and turn several times lock to lock it will self purge...

A 225hp without power assist will steering a little hard but still should work fine.

The other issue would be how your trimming the boat. Trim it up as far as you can without blowing out the prop.
If your running trim down as you turn your fighting the whole boat-

Boat is second hole from top so I can go up one more setting.

I will try to trim boat higher next time I'm at lake and see if that helps

figure out what type of steering boost you have. pure hydraulic or power assist. my 225 has only the seastar hydraulic where the pump is the collar of the steering wheel. there is a specific bleed sequence when you fill it up. either way, go to the seastar website and they'll have all the fill/bleed info you need. also, depending on the age, if you are going to have to bleed anyway, this may be a good time to change the piston seals at the motor. no reason to have to bleed twice if you are due for a seal replacement anyway.
