Yep Tom that would probably work..........just trying to save you some money. The lifting strakes are usually a dealer option an I don't know of any aftermarket. They can be installed, but the person should really know what they are doing. The also come in diff size.......think the suntracker is 6" an mine are only about 2".

Tap Fins.... oh god...

Here are what Strakes look like...
Those metal fins that run the length of the toon. With enough power, the toon will actually 'lift' up out of the water and start to plane, reducing drag big time. That way the toons are riding on top of the water vs. plowing through it.
