Thanks Ed- Could one lower the upper bench to the same level as the lower with out a lot of hassle?
I've been looking closer at prices. Between 2006 and 2007 seems to be where the biggest price drop occurs 10-15K difference for 1-2 yrs. in age. of course the 07 has that wonderful extended hard roof that we have discussed. And the 07 has the extend engine pod for the outboards.
I'm still leaning towards the party hut, but have to admit the party cruiser is alot of more boat, maybe a better buy on the used market.
Any obvious reason that Suntracker installed so many 3.0 I/0's ? Reducing the overall lenght is one that I can see.
The top of the fuel tank is 6 -8 inches from the top of the upper bunk. Other than that, yes it shouldn't be a problem. If it's imperative you want them the same level you can always install a different fuel tank. Not sure why Suntracker used so may 3.0s. We looked around quite a bit online and very few were outboards.

Yea stick to the Kool-Seal, I checked on using that on a few Mobile homes and it costs as much or more than overlaying with aluminum pans and required more maintenance.
So I never used it as the aluminum will last a life time not just 10 years

Dont remember who posted these, but it was of his new 25 foot party barge with the 3.0
This looks exactly like my 22 foot party barge.
This is looking down at the engine from inside the changing room. You can also see the front half by leaning the back seat forward....

Thanks Walt for the pics.
? - I know the 3.0 I/O uses the Alpha one sterndrive, but I don't know which gear ratio is used for pontoons? Merc's web site lists 1.47, 1.62, 2.00, and 2.40.
Reguardless of which one Mercury uses, My take is that most folks are happy with the 3.0 I/O as is for pontoon applications.
My current pick for in an outboard for a Party Hut is a 115 hp Optimax, not sure if the V-6 / 150 hp is going offer much more top end for the additional cost.
Thoughts?

Not sure of the gear ratio of the drives on either of my boats...unfortunately, the PC's in the water and the sticker indicating ratio is on the drive.
