NEED HELP FOR SHARKHIDE MAGAZINE ARTICLE

#1 Post by t_birder » Fri Jun 01, 2012 8:30 am

Hey all,
First and foremost, I want to thank all you guys out there helping each other with your Sharkhide projects. As time goes on, I have less and less time to drop in on the forum to answer questions and every little bit of help is always welcome.
The reason for my post today is I was contacted by the editor of Boating World Magazine and they want to do a story on Sharkhide products.
He said if I can, find a boat owner that's used the products (Cleaner and Metal Protectant) and fully documented the process with lots of pictures. If the Pic's are good and the process is spelled out in detail he'd consider useing that in the article instead of me sending in the info.
Well as soon as he said that I thought of you guys here on the forum.
If any of you fit the bill, give me a ring and we can go over the details.
Hope to hear from you all soon.

Bryan did a nice write up and took pictures along the way. I am going to order my Sharkhide products next week to do my '07 South Bay 925. Was going to do it last year, but put it off until this month. I bet Bryan's step by step write up will help you. If there are any particular steps you want more pictures of, or details of, I'll be happy to help over the next couple of weeks as I plan to do mine. I look forward to trying your products and hope to have the results others have achieved. I've been wanting to do this since I bought the boat in 2010. This month, it will happen.

Hey Wedge542, that looks great. I also like the graphics on the fence. Is that painted on or vinyl?

Its a vinyl wrap guys at a sign shop put on for me, i sent a scetch of what i wanted and they did the rest, 2 days to prep and install and seal edges .I wish when i started polishing mine it was under 10 yrs old, woulda been a snap but when they get old as this little more intense to make em shine at this level, i bet ive told hundreds on our lake what to use, im thinking about getting a sign made just saying done with sharkhide products so im not chased down people waving and flaging at us to stop.

Thanks! I was contacted by Pontoon and Deckboat magazine to help them do a polishing article, but after sending them pics, they said the resolution is too low to be able to use. Bummer!!! I'm not gonna do it all over again, just to take pics!!! :nono
