Warning - bad gas at Clarksville Marina, VA

Anyone boating in the Kerr Reservior area be warned, the gas at Clarksville Marina is crap. Spending a week at the lake, I pumped 15.5 gallons of liquid shit into the tank Tuesday. Ran about 20 miles since fillup. When anchoring up in our cove today, the motor was running like crap while iding in. Seven miles from the cabin and nobody else in sight. Uh Oh. Couldnt keep her running, and calling the marina was useless - they suggested I flag somone down who would tow us - yea, right. So I popped the cowl and opened up the fuel line at the filter hoping I had a vaporlock. Ran good till I backed off the throttle halfway in. managed to get it started again, but it kept stumbling all the way back. No Merc stores within 50 miles of here, so I gotta put her back on the trainer in the AM. It sucks not being able to trust it, but with 104 degrees forcast for tomorrow, common sense will win out over boating lust. :^( Did I mention I hate C'ville Marina?
