Boarding ladder spacers

Where would I find some boarding ladder spacers/standoffs for a metal and plastic ladder. Mine didnt come with any and it sits too close to the toons to use the next to the last step?

I had one years ago that hooked inside door and hung down along the pontoons I took a 1x2 treated and clamped it to the frame so it rested on log and held steps off enough to use comfortably.

Thats what mine is.. And it is way too close to be usable...

That's what I had previously and I had done about the same thing that LakeRunner did to bring it out more vertically, I replaced it last year with an Underdeck and couldn't be happier to be rid of it
