You guys know I have had a hard time deciding on a boat. This looks like the best deal I can find so far. Let me know if yall think its a good price. Are Starcraft premium pontoons or lower grade? The motor is 4 stroke also.
PONTOON! 07' Starcraft 22ft w 4 fishing seats Mercury 115hp & Trailer! - $15995
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This is a 2007 Starcraft 227(22ft) Starfish, with a Mercury 115hp motor and a Hustler drive-on trailer. This boat is LOADED! Built-in fish/depth finder, live well, sink, large bimini top, rod locker, Ski-tow, and much much more! This boat sold new for over $27K!! Buy now and save over $11K, and the boat is just like new.

I don't know if I would consider it a premium Pontoon. The Starcraft name has been around for years and my family has owned a couple of them (not Pontoons). It seems like a good deal especially if the boat is fully prepped. Does price include boat cover? I bought a 2005 G3 LX20 F/C with a Yamaha 90 hp 4 stroke with trailer and cover and fish/depth finder for $16,000.00 in Feb of 2007. It was new on the showroom floor and had never been in the water. I saved approx 9,000.00 over a current year model. Check NADA and see what the boat books for. You can also check iboats.com and
www.boats.com and get an idea of market value. You might also check JD powers and see what owners think of their boats.

I've heard nothing but good things about Starcraft boats, pontoons included. They've been around longer than any other boat manufacturer (106 years this year) and the company is strong.
My '68 Chieftain just turned 41, and it's hull just had a few corrosion holes in the transom due to improper hardware (non SS), and had 8 rivets that weeped a little. Not bad for a hull that spent it's entire life in brackish water. A bit of restoration work and it's served me well as a fishing boat for 10 years now.
These days, Starcraft hulls have a lifrtime guarantee.

That sounds like a very good price as long as it's in great shape and the hrs aren't extremely high. Like the others have said, Starcraft has been building boats for a very long time.

i wouldn't buy without a test drive.
with this economy i think prices will go lower and lower and lower as more people
lose their jobs and their taxes go up to pay for obama's porkulus package.
maybe the senators are still buying new boats.
in other words, i'd make an obscenely low offer and let them sit on it.

My very first boat and toon were both Starcraft. We liked both but both had proplems. Not anything major but just problems. The first was a boat that was 14' ski boat, it had real high sides and closed deck as was most boats in 1966. The boat handled terrible, untill I installed a 85 hp Johnson then all the problems went away. The boat was rated for a 60 hp.
The toon had too small of logs and we were always taking water through the front gate. The outboard was a problem as after the first year and once out of warr. I had to have the powerhead rebuilt every year due to melting the number one piston. It also was a Johnson motor.
Other than that they were a great boat and we enjoyed both every much.

I would try and offer them 14 and see what happens...sounds like a good deal though...and if you can test drive it, do it! The 115 will make it cruise right along real nice...about 25 maybe 30 mph?? (30 might be hopefull though, not sure)
I have a 21 footer with a 75 hp on it and it will make about 20-22 mph on the GPS depending on conditions, I always thought a 115 would be nice to have on it...I dream of a 150 but aint going to happen unitlt he kids are gone!...LOL
