New Table Top

I posted this about a year ago on the other forum, but thought there may be new members that hadn't seen it and may be interested.

My SunTracker has 2 table bases in the deck and has 1 table that you can use in either base, forward or aft.
I have wanted a second table for a while, but they are not cheap, as any of you who have looked at Overton's can attest.
I was in Lowe's one day and saw a round 24" solid wood table top for $18.95.
I bought the table leg and table base from Overton's for $35.00 and finished the table myself.
$65.00 beats the hell out of $125.00 for a fiberglass table from Overton's.
I put 1 coat of mahogany Min-Wax stain and 3 coats of min_wax polyurathene
on the unfinished table top.
I think it looks pretty good for the money and my lack of skill.

While talking tables I want to mention something. Maybe it's only me who didn't know that but I lost the top of my table trailering home. With the table gone I saw the little sticker on top of the post " do not trailer more than 5 mph with table attached". In order to read that with the table you had to crawl under.
Maybe worth mentioning in case someone else does not know!

Seriously? People actually think you can trailer with the table up an not think it's going to fly off. I wouldn't need a sticker anywhere to tell me that!

Not exceptional...just have common sense.

Table looks great! Any issue with things sliding off with no side rails?

Can you still store the table under the seat when not in use?
