Summer Salt Water Exposure

#1 Post by Drago » Thu Apr 16, 2009 8:57 pm

We'll be in Florida a bit this summer and I was wondering if there is any way to reduce the damage done by the salt environment to the toon. It will only be in the water 10 days or so mainly between Destin and Pensacola. I was thinking a simple wash down should be about all that is needed after we get it out. Any suggestions?

Put the shark hide on the toons , most of us in Florida stop on the way back home and put it in a fresh water lake and run it around for 15 minutes to wash the bottom off but and then rinse it down good when we get home

Hook up a hose/boot to the motor and flush it out after every use as well.
