well I saw a recent thread about depth gages. but I wonder if anyone has any rec's on a combo gps/fish locator/depth gage.
hope to not break the bank, but want a good unit. boat has depth gage only, thanks, vic

Eagle FishElite 640 color is probably the best lowest price unit that I have seen. Walmart had them recently for $477. A new unit sold last week on Ebay for $430.

The cheapest fishfinder/gps i know of is the Eagle Cuda 350 S/map.

Ive seen it for $199. Cabelas being one of the places ive seen it for that price...
Obviously not the best, but the cheapest..

I just recently bought it's little brother, the Eagle Cuda 300.
Used it once... worked great for me!

Actually, I wanted the 350 s map, but with some previous b-day gift certs, the store they were for didnt sell the 350 s/map, and i couldnt resist the $60 price tag for the 300.

I don't know what you plan on using it for but I'm partial to the Humminbird line. If you plan on doing a good deal of fishing in salt water bays, make sure to get one that will take two memory chips like the 957c by Humminbird.

i've got a low end eagle fishfinder/depth gauge, no gps.
has worked great for 5, 6, 7, 8 (?) years now.
i don't baby it. it sits in it's plastic case in the helm
all winter in wisconsin. does what i need.
gps would be good, but until map updates are free
(they're government data, after all) i'm not going to
spend much on that. my auto gps works fine on
the toon.

I have a seperate GPS (my old Lowrance Globalmap 100 ). It's been great for over 10 years and I use it on both boats and for hunting. Humminbird Piranha for my FF, and other than a muskrat chewing the transducer cable last season, no issues at all.
