Ski Bar / Tubing bar / Tow bar

I am new to the toon world so excuse my newbosity.

My 2013 G3 V22C did not come with a tow bar for skiing or tubing. My kids don't ski but have liked to tube behind my Seadoo boat. So it is possible that they will want to tube behind the 'toon.

My boat has a single pole slot (hole) at the rear where some sort of bar could slide into the transom which I assume is for a tow bar of some kind. (I don't have a G3 dealer anywhere near me to tell me.)

However, all the other toons I see have large, four point attachments for towing.

Can someone educated about towing tell me what I may need and if the single pole thing I see would withstand a tuber?

Thank you

This is what we use if you don't want to spend a lot of money. Works great. Just hook to each pontoon and it self-centers.

Here's what I did...

If you have a friend that's a welder, it's super cheap.... Then, I took it and had it powder coated; the paint guy primed it with a "salt water, marine primer" (he says)....

Not saying they don't exist but on a pontoon I'd be very Leary of any single point tow bar for skier or tuber without doing a lot of looking into. I've seen a few single point ski bars on boats with inboard engines as that allows the tow bar to slide deeply into the transom.... How deep is the socket for this possible tow bar and what is it secured to?

I probably have 3 or 4 ski rope bridal's with floats, out in the shed. Just attach them to your lifting eyes on the end caps. If you want one, just pay for the shipping. Just say the word and I'll take a picture of one for ya.

I have been towing from the pontoons for the last couple years, this year I have upgraded to a TurboSwing. It mounts to the transom and then uses a pully type thing to hook your rope too, I'm hoping it will get the rope a little higher out of the water than having it hooked to the toons. I am hoping to get my boat out of storage this weekend and get it installed, but for now here is a picture of one off the internet. And a link to the website.... http://www.turboswing.com/en/home/

I went and bought a bridle after reading this post but my ladder on the starboard side interferes with connecting it to the end cap.

I bit the bullet and bought a Turboswing this morning. $600 bucks in the hole now so I hope it works out well.

Turboswing installed - waiting for warmer weather. I am sure interested in how my toon pulls tubes. Never have pulled anyone before.

I have a G3 V322 RC and use the single "ski Pole" that came with the boat to ski and tube with no issues. It sinks down in the deck about 8-10 inches. Seems very sturdy so far gets a lot of use tubing.

Got my Turboswing installed last week as well. Brought the boat up to the lake Thursday but there was still ice on the lake... Friday the ice finally blew off but I couldn't convince anyone to test out the turboswing.lol.

That turbo swing looks pretty cool. How exactly does it attach to the boat? It almost appears as though it is a direct bolt to the transom, nearly in the same place as the engine does.

Also, with a good skier attached, one could pretty easily pass the boat with some momentum and one of those Turbo Swings. :nana
