Racor Plastic Bowl leak

#1 Post by megawatt » Sat May 09, 2015 5:33 am

Anyone have any probs with the plastic fuel bowl under the Racor water separator filter leaking? Seems like the gasket they provided with my replacement unit sure was cheesy.

Took my boat out and of course it died when air got in the system. i was able to tighten enough to get back in, but i don't trust it now.

Kind of surprising of Racor, maybe a bad gasket. but nothing really surprises me anymore.
