New house taking away toon time

#1 Post by curtiscapk » Wed May 06, 2009 8:04 am

My daughter just bought her first house, and guess who momma hired to do all the updates before she moves in. :uglypoke

So for the last 3 weekends I have been covered in sawdust and sheetrock mud. :deadhorse

Momma says we won't be able to go down to lake until Memorial day weekend. I told her "how long do you want to wait on that Saturday before you go out in the Floater. I haven't touched it since October when I put her to sleep. Need to get it cleaned up Motor started and seafoamed, new second battery wired old one charged, Bass enclosure installed and wired :guitar , New fish finder installed and wired. I don't think we'll be able to go until Sunday"

She promptly says go down this Saturday get it ready. :nana :guitar

It is amazing what the thought of missing a day on the water days for the admiral!!! :ten

Will post pics of the floater when I'm done. First time to hook her up to the new tow vehicle too.

Nothing except for bad weather is keeping us off the water. Sadly, it's been raining here for a week straight. Sunday's looking good though. I've been out fishing 3 times and in the PC 3 times, not counting me going down to the marina every other day to hang out. :tofunny

We plan our family stuff around the weather as well. They all know if it's beautiful out to reschedule or count us out :tofunny

I hear ya curtiscapk. I decided since work was a bit slow to go ahead and remodel our family room. Of course work got busy as hell right after I started.

I ripped out the old paneling, tore out the carpeting, changed some framing, hung the drywall and had a guy finish it for me.

I just finished all the painting and plan to lay the floor this weekend (laminate). Then just need to trim it out. Hopefully I will finally get out next weekend.

I'm sorry guys but you know me I can't help being the AH that I am.

Same here Ed, 11 days straight all lakes are out of their banks and the water is so nasty there is no need to go out for a while.
