Got the oil changed On my 50 honda today, picked up some oil and a filter, through the guy my credit card and thought nothin' of it. When I got home I thought I'd better check to see what it cost me...FRIGGEN $42!!! (4 quarts of Honda oil and a filter) Man how do they justify that!

Anyway, my heart rate finally came down so I got the oil changed, pretty simple I might add and then I installed a 1000 watt inverter and a marine battery. Got all the toys ready to go, (marine radio, GPS, spotlight....) still have the lower unit to drain and replace.

Can you tell I'm getting excited?

Yes I know what you mean with prices. To do my 90 Merc was in $50's I think when I was under warranty. Now I use Castrol 10w30 and Merc filter for less than half of price before. I still use Merc filter and lower unit lube

Well thankfully she only uses 2 1/2 quarts of oil, next time I'll do things different.
