Should the gas tank be filled before stabilizing for the winter storage or leave space in the tank?

When I store mine for winter I add the stablizer fill the tank and run the motor with muffins on just to run stablizeres fuel through the motor. But I also always add a stable riser to my fuel during the season also while in use.

I prefer to add the Stabil FIRST, then fuel up as that gets it mixed well. I then drive the boat home and put it up on the lift. The 10 minute boat ride gets the fuel run through the entire system. The head mechanic at my dealership has suggested to me to have about 3/4 of a tank of fuel when I stop for the season and put it up. The gas I am able to buy is NON ethanol so that also helps....

The fuller the tank the less air space you leave. Air space increases the chance for the fuel to interact with the air causing oxidation, also the increased air space increases the chance for condensation too...

I think muffins would clog cooling ports
