I have a 2015 25' Atlantis with a 250Hp motor. This is my first pontoon. I have had boats from 16' to 33' FB. I have had the Atlantis all summer and it has been perfect. It rides better than I thought it would and has good performance. It has not been back to the dealer for any problems, and it doesn't have any now either. I'm very happy with it and really like the factory double top.

We have a 2003 Elite that we bought new. The boat has held up well and caused no problems. Seats are in good condition, even after 12 years.

You might want to wait for the boat shows just after Christmas. You will be able to see the difference between manufacturers' products, including the quality of the welds, different floor plans and features. Although pontoons appear to be generic barges, there are big differences between the companies.

And any time you get a bunch of competitive salesmen in one room, the prices are surely expected to be lower.

The big 4 are Bennington, Harris, Premier and Manitou. There are another dozen brands I'd be perfectly happy with, including Avalon/Tahoe, Cypress Cay and the Berkshire brands of boats. Even the most popular manufacturers have 3-4 different lines of boats to fit into any price range.

Last time I saw sales numbers, Bennington and Berkshire built boats were increasing in sales while the other brands' sales were stable or down a little. (2008 was not a good year for the marine business, and the industry has not recovered.)
