Hello to everyone I have a 2011 Party Barge 24 (26 feet long) and want to install loading guides attached to rear of trailer to help when windy, as it seems to be everytime I go out. Any suggestions on style and type and pics would be great. Tracker trailers at least mine does have the long inside guide rail a 2 x4 from factory but its about 5 or 6 feet from end of trailer and everytime i load toon the logs get of out of grooves where logs sit and logs are are not resting on long rails. I hope by adding guides this will bring boat right in and perfectly aligned every time and not have to back in and out on ramp trying to get toons sitting properly on rails. Gets old having to get in water at end of trailer and pushing on toons on direction or the other as wife pulls out boat. Boat is securly fasten with winch at front of trailer and front part of toons in the rails but the logs at rear is out of rails.
Thanks for any suggestions 53 Powell

Check this company out for what you are looking for. Got mine about two years ago Ordered a set took about an hour by myself to install. Would not be without them now. As you said loading in the winds is a pain and always took the fun of a day boating away when I returned to the ramp to load up. With these I load by my self and have loaded in winds over 15 mph. They are great. http://www.4c-innovations.com/. Don't know why every pontoon company doesn't put this on their trailer to start with. Pm me with questions if you like.

you could find a welder and have him make a L from 2" angle and get U bolts to attach to trailer. Then just add 2 2X6 for guide. Also move guides close to logs

There is an entire ride-up on the 4C Innovations Bunk Guide System in the Manufacturer Review section with various other ideas.

53Powell... don't know if this is what you are referring to, but I added these trailer guides to my rig and it helped tremendously...makes it much easier to line up when loading..

53Powell, I feel your pain. I, too, am considering guides for when I launch in moving water/wind. But I'm leaning more toward external guides like Roland did, primarily because I ultimately want to add the pontoon water glide underneath. (http://www.pontoonwaterglide.com/index.asp)

In the meantime, I learned not to back my trailer as far into the water as I used to do for v-hulls. I leave a good third of the trailer out of the water and use the throttle to drive the toon up onto it. Obviously, if you use a really shallow ramp where your motor has to be raised to load, that technique won't work. And even when it does, I've smacked the pontoon uprights really hard a couple of times until I got the hang of it. But when enough of the toons are in the bunks, it stays straight.

I don't think you will find anything that works better then the 4c in my prior post. Was the best money I ever spent. I now load my toon with ease in the wind or rough water no matter.

I just received the kit from 4C Innovations. Will be installing next weekend.
Has anyone done a tri-toon installation and if so do you have any pictures?

Thanks

Budoff,
I don't have three toons but I do know if you have any questions give them a call. They are very good to deal with n will take the time to answer any questions you may have. I had questions called them n they returned my call n took the time to answer everything I had.

Bob,

Did you get the auto-latching kit with it also? If so, how do you like that feature?

No I didn't get the locking feature; however, I am thinking of order it next year. I do love the loading system for sure. No more problems with wind or the boaters who don't know what a no wake zone is when loading.
