New Guy Power question

I made it all official yesterday when I dropped off my Four Winns for trade and wrote the check. Got to see my new boat and thanks to this site I knew a little bit more what I was looking for. I was pleased to find out that the boat already has under skinning, lifting Strakes, and Hydraulic steering. That made me feel a little more comfortable with my decision to only go with the 115 CT Mercury.
What is everyone's thoughts on this setup. It's a Crest 230 SLE Tritoon.

115 on a tritoon is going to really limit the boats capabilities. Its rated for 300 max right ? I had a 115 and now have a 300. I wish I had the new 400 but theres still time LOL.

Well it is going to have to work for now. I boat on a relatively small lake and mostly just cruise around and maybe pull the kids some on a tube. Guess I can start saving for my new engine next.

I think you'll be mid 30s with a few onboard, probably around 30 with 6 to 8 people. Not bad speed and plenty for tubing. If the dry weight is over 3,000 you wont hit those #s I don't think.

2800 dry weight. 30mph is ok. Lot less than the Four Winns I traded in, but I knew that would be the case. 30mph will be a comfortable speed for cruising and pulling kids in tube. Just have to borrow the buddies boats when I need my speed fix.

I could be wrong, For some reason I was thinking Tri-toon, I don't know much about a 2 toon with 115, The strakes will help big, but I assume turning will slow you way down. I know there are some on here with a 115 and strakes. Edit; Jesus I'm dumb. Just saw it is tri-toon. Sorry.
