recommendations for self priming live well pump?

Hey guys, can you recommend a good self priming pump? I would like to mount it up on the deck and run a hose down to the bottom of the toon instead of mounting the pump on the bottom. It will need to feed the live well, the sink and the deck wash down kit but thankfully not all at the same time. Draw height would be about 3 feet and then max horizontal push of about 8 - 10 feet with a 2 foot lift at the end of that. I am thinking a 1 1/8" or 1 1/2" hose should be plenty big enough. I picked up a atwood tsunami T-1200 aerator pump for the job and realized afterwards that it probably won't self prime up to that height.

I tried doing something similar but never could get it to work. Had to mount the pump on the bottom of the boat. Hope someone can help you out. If not give pontoon stuff call.

i bought this self-priming RV pump, http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002P3 ... detailpage from Amazon. It works well. it is mounted under my rear sun pad. The output pressure is not strong, but using a typical garden hose, it will spray about 20' from boat. it comes in handy when the jet fleas are coming close. i use it to fill my live well, to rinse carpet, and wash hands of fish slime...

at the intake, under the water, i've placed a strainer that i got from a hardware store - it has like, 1/8" spaces in the mesh, and attached to the pump, I've added another, fine strainer... http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004A2 ... ailpages01

This is a really old post I'm resurfacing but I found it while researching how to set up a live well on my pontoon boat.

I only have a bracket on the back of one of my pontoons and am concerned about fish finder interference if I have the livewell pump & transducer both on the same bracket (since they'd be so close together). I could have a bracket welded on the tube on the other side but that seems like more effort than it's worth if there's a pump that can lift the water to the livewell.

I thought I found my answer when I found this thread & was pleasantly surprised when I found the recommended self priming RV pump is still available @ http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002P3 ... detailpage. But specs indicate it is 2.9 GPM which is about 174 GPH. Anyone use this type of pump for their livewell? How well does it work & does it move enough water to fill the livewell in a reasonable amount of time? I'm a bit concerned because the normal submerged, push style livewell pumps seem to be in the 500-800 GPH range.

Appreciate any information you can share.
