Our bimini top has been closed up apparently for a while, upon opening, literally 20+ red mud dirt dauber nests fell out. So our beige top is stained where the nests were. What can I use to help remove the red mud? AKA GA red clay. I don't want to use anything that may set it in or damage the material. :donno

Most vinyl and upholstery shops would recommend that you start mild and work your way up. I'd remove the top and lay it out in the driveway and flush the area with lots of water from the garden hose and follow up with a medium-soft bristle scrub brush to remove as much as I could. I'd then follow up with warm soapy water (Dawn/Ivory) and repeat with the scrub brush. For tough set in stains try one (1) tablespoon of ammonia to one-fourth (1/4) cup of water.

Kurd Kutter Red Clay Stain Remover.

A sub-contractor tracked red clay on our light colored MBR carpet. Big red boot prints across the entire room. Kurd Kutter Red Clay took them all right out and didn't aff ct the carpet.

Good luck with this! I had a white Honda and had a tough time getting the orange clay out of the paint. If you get it out let us know what works.
