Hey all. Need some advice over here. I have a fairly steeply inclined driveway. I can back the boat into a spot pretty easy but the tongue of the trailer reaches all the way down to the sidewalk. My truck is still in the street at this point. Because of this, the truck hitch is really low to the ground. Unhitching wouldn't be too big of a deal, but it would be impossible to lower the tongue low enough to re-hitch to the ball on the truck. Any thoughts? I was thinking my floor jack would work, but you don't have a lot of control when lowering the tongue with that thing. Thanks!

My only advice is do not park a pontoon boat and trailer facing down a hill. There's too much liability if the thing gets away from you, and it's something that can easily jump over any wheel chocks.

I'd find a level place to park it even if that means leaving it in a mini-storage's locked lot.

And it sounds as if you've figured out these things with the tow truck are really long.

You can get a 4, 6, 8, or 11" drop on your ball mount and flip it over (the drop becomes a rise). Once you get on level ground, make sure you reinstall a ball mount that keeps you trailer level with your rig.

I'm going to laugh out loud here a little.... You can scarcely find a level driveway in our entire HOA, some are steep enough to have blind overs... I've learned and adapted to leaving hitched as much as I can but when I have to unhitch I park in the yard and use bricks on both sides of both tires...
