Who has best deals on trailers?

#1 Post by CajunCoach23 » Mon Jul 18, 2016 8:29 am

Wifey and I may be looking for tritoon trailer for our 23' pontoon soon, and just curious if any of you guys know who has best deal on trailers. I imagine tandem axle, with hydraulic assist brakes would be needed.

I am checking the obvious, ie. craigslist, etc., but would prefer to get a deal on a new trailer.

Thanks!

Most people just buy a trailer when they purchase their boats.

There are not really great deals out there on pontoon boat trailers, and very few even show up on Craigslist. When they show up, they're grabbed quickly at relatively strong prices if they're really good pontoon trailers. Someone with a new pontoon boat really needs to put a new pontoon trailer underneath them.

You might look on Boattrader.com and filter it for 100 miles from your zip code. It's not too hard to figure out who the boat dealers are willing to compete for customers' business with "fair' pricing.

The only pontoon boat trailer specialists I know of are far from you in Lebanon, MO and Elkhard, IN areas. You can find'em online--same company. I forget the dealer's name.

Where are you located? That makes a huge difference unless you're willing to drive a long way for a great deal.

I live in SC and bought a new Wolverine trailer for $2250 in late fall 2014. It is galvanized, has dual axles, 13" tires (12" is standard), LED lights, plastic bunks, and extra wide stairs. Brakes were a $450 option. I don't trailer a lot (fortunate to live waterfront), but I've been very happy with this purchase.

I saw it on Craigslist. The name of the company was L&S Enterprises out of NC and their number is 704-314-5365.
