I just returned from the lake with my 5 year old granddaughter swimming.
The trees are starting to drop a few leaves and some hickory nuts are all over my dock. The crops are starting to turn, and the harvest is soon.
The sky's extremely blue as the sun moves toward the south. Sunsets are getting even more beautiful and will get better and better until 12/21.
It's been 10 degrees hotter in September than normal through the middle of the U.S., and the water temperature remains great for swimming.

And wouldn't you know that I left the fishfinder accessory switch on when I last used the boat--and my battery was dead. I'll have it charged for tomorrow night's cruise, however.

I'm a big believer in great sunsets. I also pay big attention to the seasons as best I can living in SE Texas. I caught a couple of nice sunsets on Lake Travis in May and August but I agree that as the sunset point moves south, we see better sunsets from the northern hemisphere. Some of the best I've seen were the extra long sunset from Alaska as fall approaches. I would have to find and scan them since they are on Fuji Velvia not sitting on this desktop.
