1999 Smoker-Craft SunSport Fish?

#1 Post by Noah Jr. » Thu Sep 29, 2016 10:00 am

I looking at a 1999 Smoker-Craft 820 SUNSPORT FISH with a 75 hp motor. It is my first time buying/owning a boat and I would appreciate any words of wisdom that can be offered. Thanks.

While I don't know anything about your Smoker-Craft, you will get great advice from others here. We bought our first boat earlier this year and it is a 1999 pontoon with a 70hp Johnson. We are very happy with ours and got great advice from members of this forum. No, it's not new, but the motor runs smooth and I don't have to worry about it like I would if it was new or, at least, newer.

Good luck, ask many questions. See things run - Take it out on the water if you can.

In general, the number one worst thing you can do to your toon is not use it. A regularly used pontoon has very few problems, let it sit for months at a time and all hell breaks loose.
