So if I understand correctly it's advised to add stabilizer to the last tank of fuel for the season, then leave the tank hooked up to the motor and top it off to prevent condensation.
Fog/oil the cylinders, lower the tilt for drainage, change the oil in the lower unit and wait impatiently for spring.

I guess you can't just disconnect the fuel line & run it dry like you can with pre-mix, or you'll flood the carbs with oil.

Yes to all. If you have a portable fuel tank I'd dump it and fill next time out otherwise, top off with sabalized fuel. I had a VRO motor many years ago. You'll need to clear those oil lines before storage. Huge pain in the ass. I only kept my VRO system for one year then disconnected it and started using premix in the tank. I was told to do that as soon as it got off warranty due to problems with scoring cylinders. That came from a Johnson factory mechanic no less. Your call though. Good luck.

I guess I have never heard of this either. I have been around 2 stroke motorcycles with oil injection and didn't need it there. I just looked at my Johnson manual and they instruct to leave the oil line connected. If it does need disconnected, the manual states to cap the fitting and plug the hose. The manual goes on to say to fill the oil tank to keep condensation from forming.

It was my understanding that the oil will thicken and clog the lines if allowed to sit stagnant for long periods of time. I will say that I never had to do it in that I never put my boat up for the winter (Florida). I also disconnected the VRO after the warranty ended. If the manual says just let the oil sit then I guess you can skip that part.

I didn't mean to dispute you. I'm new to all this and always looking for clarity on different things.
