Warm Weather still with us in Mid South.

The temperatures are still running the mid 60's, and the water temperature on our lake is at 69 degrees. We haven't seen rain in 22 days, and none is expected within the next week. It's been great for farmers' harvesting, however many Southern lakes are very low.
I had our Bennington 24SSLX with the F150 Yamaha out yesterday afternoon, and the southern sun was absolutely beautiful. I had it running 40 mph @ 6200 rpm's--wrung out. The colder Fall water temperatures and cool afternoon temps. make the boats a little faster than on hot summer days. Had I taken down that big bimini, I might have got another couple of mph out of her.
We're so thanikful that we're on a lake with a dam that produces serious electricity amounts. TVA keeps us full most of the year, and winter pool only drops about 3 feet. So we're good to boat when other lakes, like Lake Lanier, are very low. Lanier's at a 4 year low water level.
