Anyone use this product on their toon? It is EVERYWHERE at the boat shows. Ski boats, performance, fish & cruisers...have it packed onto their boats. Saw one at Miami Boat Show with it on the outside of the boat used as GFX & a side bumper. Was considering it for the helm and maybe swim platform. Just wanted to know how well it held up and how is it to clean??

I looked into it with these folks in Panama City. My back deck would have run about $150. The company has a kit for $20 for tracing your floor or deck pattern for a custom fit.

From the pics, and the nice angles, I'd say they look pretty clean!

Oh, 'Seadek...'

http://www.thehulltruth.com/boating-for ... eadek.html

"The installer recommended using Star Brite Deck Cleaner with PTEF to clean it and also keep it grippy and super waterproof so I use that everytime I wash the boat and it looks exactly the same as it did the day it was installed. The darker color isn't a problem at all down in the Florida sun. I could fish on the boat barefoot all day without a problem, or leave it in the driveway in the sun all day then hop on to clean it and it wouldn't even really be warm."

I can tell you it's good stuff. We have it on our swimplatform so it gets submerged a lot in saltwater and sits uncovered quite a bit too. i have only ever had one bad stain on it and was told to clean it with acetone and it worked great, also sticks to about everything including starboard which is impressive if you ever work with the stuff. Whenever I rework my floor
I will use it. Just use common sense when choosing colors I know the dark will get warm in the sun.

Clean it with acetone? What IS this made of? Acetone ruins everything it touches...except maybe polypropylene.

I'm not sure what the formulation of the foam is but I believe it's very similar to the stuff they used for surfboard grip pad for years. Now I'm not saying clean it with acetone as part of your normal maintenance but I got a nice grease stain on mine and it came right out!

I didn't state earlier but the stuff is also comfortable with good slip resistance.

I know just how to clean that . As far as holding up goes,I would expect at least another ten years. Now ,for the stuff she is sitting on, I have no idea.
