I have damage to my current propeller. I was thinking about replacing it and it seems pretty straight forward to replace.
It has probably been asked 1000 times on this forum, but here goes
my current prop has no numbers on it, how low of a pitch should I use?
I have an 85 hp Johnson from 1974 and a 24' pontoon boat. The current prop is 4 blade.
I looked at overtons and used their propeller finder but the pitch ranges from 19 to 13. Is 13 low enough?
Thanks.

Re: Prop Questions
You can check on Michigan Wheel's website:
https://www.miwheel.com/outboard-propel ... -analysis/
They show a 13 and an 11 pitch prop in the four blade types. Michigan Wheel may recommend 4 blades on pontoons. I found number on the prop nut end of the prop hub. Kind of hard to read, but I emailed Michigan Wheel (it was their prop in my case) and they helped me out.

Re: Prop Questions
On my merc prop the diameter and pitch numbers are on the back side of one of the blades.
