Can you compound and wax the "gel coat" to remove surface scratches and small discolored spots or marks? (Mostly on the rim)

Yes this can be done and it pretty easy to do first you will need a good cleaner product, I use the Meguiar's mirror glaze ultra cut and a buffer, this will remove small scratches and glaze on the gel coat, then follow it up with a good carnuba wax, this wok great for a my Nitro bass boat that is 25 years old I do this once in the spring every year,Tim
