Premier Nav light

#1 Post by Coldbrew » Wed Jul 05, 2017 11:46 am

Does anyone know of anywhere that I can get a nav light for my Gemini without going through Premier? They only sell them in sets and they're $200. Crazy for a light.

Here's a pic:

It can be difficult finding out where the boat builder got their parts such as your running lights, and worse yet if they were built specific for your app. Try to find a manf ID on the light itself and head off to Google Land. Now I would search here www.greatlakesskipper.com as they buy and resell new old stock from discontinued product lines...

Thanks guys. I believe I just found out it's a Perko. Out of the catalog it's about the same as Premier so I'm "off to Google Land". :-)

Just an update on this. Once I was able to find out who made the light I started searching. (Hint: Take the darn old one out and look underneath. Sheesh) Anyway......Most of the ones I found were pretty close to the same price as the catalog at Bass Pro and Premier. The cheapest I found at one point was $160 for the pair. Since I don't go out at night very often I figured I'd be patient and it payed off. I found a seller on e-bay that is a "slightly used", "open package" seller. He had a set still in the original package that had been opened for $75 or best offer with $14 shipping. I offered $60 and he accepted. The light came in today and I'm thrilled. I tested it and it works great. I've got it mounted in the corner piece and it will be going in the boat this weekend.

I'm not thrilled that I had to spend anything at all on a light for a 3 year old boat, but it could have been a lot worse. I don't know what other parts this guy carries, but if anyone wants his username send me a pm and I'll pass it along.

Nice find. Sure beats paying full price.
