Help with 2016 Premier pontoon

#1 Post by bkvanbek » Sat Jul 15, 2017 7:58 pm

We bought this Premier Pontoon new. It did not come with "H2O lights" or "Skirt Lights" and we would like to add them. There is rocker switches for each and they are powered with a brown wire, black stripe for H2O lights, and a blue wire with a white stripe for the skirt lights. The wires enter the wiring harness and appear to go through the floor and above the driver's side pontoon. Where do these wires end? What is the best way to find them and splice in? I want to make this as clean of an installation as possible.

Have you tried calling Premier? Or a dealer that sells them. I don't know why they wouldn't tell you where they end so you can install them.

The dealer was no help. Premier did not get back to me on Friday. I was hoping someone here would know.

I don't think Premier will be much help, After filing for bankruptcy I'm sure there running a skeleton crew till they figure things out.

Actually they are running balls to the walls! I talked to an engineer with Premier 2 weeks ago. Business is as normal right now. As far as your wiring. Take off the side reveal skirt. Unless they started welding them on. They were bolted back in 2014, yet. The wiring should be pigtailed above the right pontoons cross braces.

That's good to hear. They've definitely been one of the leaders in pushing the evolution.

Yeah I figured they would still be busy. Hopefully they just reorganize and continue on.

See bryden's answer above ^^^

I've got the same setup, but I never looked for the wires. Good info to have.

I added H20, skirt lights etc. The pigtails are tucked on top the pontoons behind the skirt panels. All the Premier harnesses come with these connections from what I've seen. Mine even had livewell and aerator connections and it's not a fishing model.
