Should I use a power washer on the lower portion of my Yamaha outboard to remove dried scum build up?

I don't know that it would hurt anything, but I think I would just take a good medium bristle brush with a bucket of soap and water...

I use my power washer every year end on my toons and motor I hit them with straight simple green then power wash them just don't do the cowling with direct spray and keep away from the decals gets most of the scum off this after the motor being in the water from May till October

Can't you tilt your motor up completely out of the water?

Yes. Slim build up over the years. It's a family boat.
