2013 xcursion with a 150 merc.tried everything,lower engine,change props.put on a whale tale,even put on a jack plate to lower it more.

come to find out I was missing a 2dollar and 10 cent plastic washer/grommet that goes between the lower hub area and the prop.makes tons of sense, keeps the exhaust gas from escaping around the prop huband going thru the middle of prop as designed.

hope this helps anyone.

since I put this on not 1 bit of cavitation

Congrats on finding your issue... Good catch... a 2 dollar part... enough to make you pull your hair out..

Good catch! How did you figure that out? And next question, what happened to the factory one? Was it just missing from the get go? This is going into my "Must Remember" file. Nice find!!!

Never seen an outboard with a plastic ring there? I've seen some plastic rings that clip on small bore props so they can be used on large bore cases before to prevent that issue.
