Premier PTX Owners...

Quick question...

I have a 2006 Premier. The center 30" PTX toon has the plastic ski locker liner inside. There is a drain at the rear of the liner.

Does anyone know if there is a hose attached to the drain that leads out the rear of the toon or does the ski locker water just end up inside the toon? I am having a small amount of water in the third toon and think the ski locker is the culprit.

Thanks!

To the best of my knowledge, the ski locker drains to the open well in front of the transom. At least this was the information provided to me by our dealer. Doesn't mean you don't have an additional leak though.

Yes, its hosed to the transom, comes out in front of the fuel tank, and out of the drain holes in the transom. Next time the boats out of the water and the locker is empty, pour a few gallons in it, to make sure the drain hose didn't come apart in the pontoon. There should have been bilge pumps put into these and the lockers sealed from the get go. Premier just went with the drains, which work fine until they plug with leafs and wrappers and it rains. Or that hose pops off inside the pontoon.

That is kind of how I figured that it might be setup. I will have to investigate whether or not that hose is in place. Thanks for the reply!

If you are getting a significant amount of water in your middle toon, it may be the gasket around the ski locker. We have a 2009 and the gasket failed. We were getting enough water to significantly affect our top end speed. This is a known issue and requires removal of the toon to replace the gasket. Premier covered this under the warrnty last year but this was before they went through their financial issues. These toons were not designed for a bilge pump but my mechanic figured out how to put one in. He did a great job and it is a really slick install.

If this continues as an issue, I would talk to my dealer.

I only had a few gallons at about 30 hours of use. I am inclined to think that it is coming from the ski locker drain, but I am not certain.
