Retired: dammit, I was hoping he link would work. I’ll post the main link and maybe you could navigate through it like I did to find my motor. It seems like a huge website that lists damn near every mercury motor ever made. Hopefully it works

I used this link and hit “launch parts catalog” and then I hit a few more options relating to my engine and they are as follows

AFTER LAUNCHING CATALOG:
Selected: outboard
Selected: 2 stroke carb
Selected: 70, 700 (3 CYL.)
Selected: Archive 75508 PDF

That seems like a pretty decent parts manual and I think it works for my engine too? Anyways thanks for all your help/input.

Yeah, it looks like it'll work as a parts manual....one of the biggest problems I had was in the "tune up" department....since the throttle linkage also controls the timing and the final adjustment has to be done under load in reverse and the previous owner/owners had fingered everything in there trying to tune it like any other motor, I'm not sure I could have done it without a step by step guide...good luck.

Retired: just wanted to say thanks for all your input/help. I ordered that manual from the eBay link today. Also thanks to everyone else in this thread as well. Really appreciate it. I’ll try to get some pics of my second boat up here soon. Thanks again guys

Got the manual from eBay this week!! Holy crap this thing is THICK!! It has all kinds of info in it. I think I’ll have this old Merc running great by spring. Thanks again guys for all the help
