Trailer weight
Hey guys, any of you have any idea what this trailer weighs? I've googled Road Runner trailers and found several of them around the country, so not sure which outfit manufactured this trailer. Any ideas? I appreciate it. Have a great weekend. Thanks again.

Re: Trailer weight
If that chart is correct for that brand of trailers we can see that you don't have surge brakes on that single axle so that would eliminate those ones, even though they could be optional. I would guess your in that 715#-665#. If it is the original tires that would eliminate a lot as well.

700 lbs makes sense. I weighed my 22' - 24' twin axle with surge brakes in at 990 lbs.

Thanks for the chart Joe... is there a plate somewhere on the trailer that will give the series and model number. The trailer came new when I bought the boat over 8 years or so ago and I don't ever recall seeing a plate with that information...... and thank you again for the info. btw, I actually talked to the guy that was the general manager at the boat dealership where I bought it ( he has been out of the boat biz for a number of years now ) and he told me that they bought thier trailers from roadrunner trailers in lewisville, texas... I read somethinig tonight that says they are permanently closed... the guy that sold me my rig said he "guesstimated " that the trailer would run around 700 to 800 lbs max.

Hi Jake... you know I went back and looked at the tire sizes on that chart and the original tires that came on this trailer when I bought the boat / trailer / motor were ST175/80R/13 Load range C....
on that chart there are two trailers listed with that size tire and the chart says each of those trailers weigh 440 and 460 lbs respectively... That seems kinda light for even my 20 foot bennington.. those charts also say those trailers carrying capacity is 2000 lbs. well my boat has a dry weight of 1611 lbs and the motor weighs 369 lbs... That's pretty darn close to the 2000 lb carrying capacity... when you add the weight of the trailer, which I believe has to be more than 460 lbs, that would explain why I had a blow out on those Load range C tires... when I replaced them I went with a load D tire and didn't have any issues.. Thank you again for your help.
