I got an SS204 in 2009-still have it. Is still doing well. Not really fancy--has fore and aft fishing seats & no carpet. Bimini will wear out and/or fade. Mine has always been in my boat house and has a custom cover so seats still look OK. Cover is getting messed up--threads unraveling etc and the storms have wreaked havoc but still does the job.

Fairly affordable and seems to hold its value well. I paid under 25K out the door with a tandem trailer and brakes which was overkill but at the time I had a motorhome and planned to tow a lot---then we bought our lake house & sold motorhome.

Tritoon will always be a lot better choice if you can afford it. Friend of mine bought a 2007 224 with 135 Merc and tritoons wth lifting strakesand it runs around 35 mph. Mine does 28 tops now with a 90 Merc.

Good toonin!

We have a 2003 Suncruiser 222 Trinidad with a 90hp 4-stroke Yamaha. Lay back seats up front, L-shaped seating towards the stern and 2 fishing seats on the very back (although one of them has never seen daylight - it is kept in the attic because it would just be in the way of the ladder). We bought the boat 5 years ago from the guy who had ordered it new. We don't fish from the boat - wife would kill me if I were to get fish guts on the carpet. Keep an eye on your courtesy light -- it's real easy for someone to bump it and turn it on -- if left unnoticed, it can really drain your battery if the light is left on for a few weeks (don't ask how I know that).

As for the bimini, if yours is damaged, I would suggest getting a new aftermarket one. We still have the original one on our boat and with the shape, it catches a lot of wind when it is open. We use 1" wide transom straps on the front to secure it open. When the bimini is not open, we store the pins in the storage box on the lower area of the console.

I put an electric Bimini on mine. Greatest decision I have ever made. Down to up and ready to run in 19 seconds. Same with putting it away at the ramp. I've had mine installed 2 years now haven't had a single problem, plus I get a bunch of compliments at the dock. I gotmine at pontoonstuff $799.
