First time out, have some problems...

So we took her out. Love the boat, all the room and storage is great. We have some kind of problem with the motor.

Idles fine and will run slow but try to give it the gas and it bogs out. No take off or power at all. I'm going to check all the lines to see if there is a leak. Was thinking it could be bad fuel, don't know how long it has set up. Any things else you think it could be?
Other then that my dogs had a great time. I got 2 mini doxies and a golden retreivier. My two older dogs have been out on the river many times. The youngest doxie just had a grand time. He took right to the water and the boat. I got to get the problems solved and get us all back out there again.

Sounds like a bad accelerator pump in the carb. Rebuild it and you'll be fine.

Two other possibilities - inadequate venting on the fuel tank (try running with the fuel cap off to see if that helps) or a pinhole size leak in the fuel line allowing air to be sucked in.

Nevermind, I'm thinking I/O...wasn't drinking either.

First thing I'd check though is fuel pressure and go from there.

How about running a can of Sea Foam thru it first, it should help to clean it out and it's cheaper than tearing things apart first.
Had a snowmobile last year that I had not run for two years. Ran like crap when excellerating. added a can of Sea Foam and within a couple hours was running great.

I like the seafoam idea. I think you might have water in the gas. Another cheap fix is to add a fuel water separator kit to the fuel line. $20 bucks or so.

Great news called the dealer and complained so they are going to fix it. Should get it back before the weekend.
