Thanks and next dumb question,

I found a good deal on a Honda 50hp, but it is a long shaft, my evinrude is an xtra long shaft,
is it posible to modify the transom to be able to use the long shaft Honda?
or is it possible to get an extension for the Honda? it appears that the Evinrude has an extension on it to make it the 25 inch shaft.
