Need help identifying part.

This is on the right side of transom. You can see where that piece is cracked. Left one is already gone and this one went this weekend. I assume it has something to do with directing water flow?

The pic is way too large, you can't get any perspective of the area in relation to the rest of the stern area. Take one not so close and I think it will be easier to identify by comparing the 2 pics.

Agree back camera off, since it has adjustability I will guess....


A splash shield :mrgreen:

what is interesting? the cut/grinded section that the splash shield is covering (notice "lip" left from cut off wheel?)

Might help to know what make and model you're floating there.

I broke a cross member under the plywood deck. Took it to a metal fab shop and they couldn't weld it, the tear was so close to the deck. Instead, they bolted a brace in place and splinted/sistered it back together. If that's on your transom, maybe it needs some beefing up.

There is no "right side of the transom", but there might be a "wrong side".

Is that the starboard side?

Probably the starboard rectilinear modulator excursion bracket.
