i have a 2018 Avalon LSZ2485 with a 140 suzuki on it. you can't use the transom lock on the motor because the motor will hit the fuel filler neck before it gets high enough. I've noticed that some of the Avalons like mine have a angled fuel neck where mine is straight. My question is can the dealer swap mine for an angled one.

My Opinion; you answered your own question, I would take it to the dealer and politely say "fix it" let me know when it's ready to be picked up. It does not work as it is supposed to, bottom line. and that is one major reason we buy new with warranty.

I agree with FlounderPounder, but the fix might be tough.

If it's a "plastic" fuel tank like most of them are, the filler neck might be part of the tank itself.

But, go back to the dealer, it's their responsibility to make you happy.

I agree with the others. Not sure about Suzuki, but sometimes on a Mercury you need to use the lock to work on the trim system.
