What's ya'lls favorite brand of onboard charger? Trying to make final plans for my troll motor purchase. Finished the new little Clarion radio install yesterday. Damn it's hot out there! Planning on dragging the boat to lake Whitney Tx. in sept.

I've had the Guest dual charger for four years with no issues.

I have a ProMariner Pro Sports. I think my model is the Pro Sports 20...... I'm not near the boat so I can't check, but I'm pretty sure this is it. Works great, for my 2 batteries.

Charger selection depends upon the particular batteries being used, and should match both the amperage rate and voltage that the battery needs.

True deep cycle batteries are charged differently than Marine type batteries. Batteries like Lifeline AGM's need to charged as hard and fast as possible, but at a lower voltage than Fullriver AGM's and Optima AGM's. Charging a flooded battery at a very high rate will boil it over.

Most of the time. early battery demise is caused by under/incomplete charging.

Chargers like the Guest/ProMariner/Charles will work great on standard Marine batteries.

Yep.....

I've got 2 DEKA Marine Batteries. I've typically used battery 1 one day, and switch to battery 2 the next day, or if I know I won't be running it for awhile on the last day out, I'll run one, then at the half way point of the day, I'll switch over to the other battery.

Here's what I use and it takes care of dual batteries. Mounted in the battery compartment.
