..just saw the response re: a 15 Enertia--I was going to suggest you try a 15 first also. Iwent from a 16 to a 17 in pitch and lost 1-2 mph and almost 400 rpm assuming my tac is right. So I went back to a 16. Every 'toon is different.
I also am 1-2 mph faster with my 16 in aluminum vs my 16 stainless--go figger…
If you go with a 15 and you don't like it you can always have the pitch increased to a 16 or maybe put a cup in the prop--altho you say your hole shot is good & you aren't blowing out-which may mean the cup isn't needed. I can trim my 90 out so much I'm afraid the water intake may have trouble picking up water. I can get the nose up tho' but I have a 20 ft toon with just fishing seats and a trolling motor and battery up front. 27 gps with the stainless- 28-29 with the aluminum and I hit 30 one winter with the aluminum. Water more dense when cold is the reason for that. Same as with an airplane having trouble taking off in hot air in desert etc. Some airports wont take off above 117 degrees for instance.
My friend has a 135 Merc on his 22 ft Lowe-same model as mine-seats, etc. Lifting strakes--I ran it at 35mph with 3 people in it so 39 sounds about right for you.

I installed Mercury Vessel View module to get all vital engine data on my phone and don't have to trust my gauges for correct information.

Can't help with your other issues and hope you get it resolved. Had some bad experience with the local Harris dealer as well and they are out of business now. I do liked the boat I wanted.

Have you found the fuel burn data to be accurate? Looking forward to seeing real digital info to compare to the analog data. cheers

Re: New pontoon owner with new boat has questions.
Sorry Pal, I do like this and I keep all my maintenance data on it as well. As far for the fuel burn data I haven't really monitored that. Forget to add the new fill up to the ongoing tally. Simple to install, about 10 min and there are tons of videos on line.

You may find significantly different numbers coming from the Vessel View compared to your analog gauges. I have a Yamaha 150 and added a NMEA 2000 network to my boat which let's my Simrad get digital info direct from the motor. I was surprised to see that my actual RPM was 5500 compared to the almost 6000 the Faria gauge shows.riplipper wrote: ↑Wed Aug 22, 2018 2:57 pmWhy the hell did you have to post that???? you just cost me $259..... That is pretty much why I am getting it. After this rpm fiasco I am not sure I trust anything at this point. I found that the tach gage adjustment is not an exact setting. As in you do not click from one setting to another but rather turn to a soft setting which could be slightly off. So I am thinking, once I get the vessel view I can probably adjust my analog tach slightly to be more accurate.

and you might check all their gauge lineup if you might rather have that info on a gauge instead of your phone, cool stuff...
