So, who is planning to spend time on the water?

I plan to, if boat starts...been 5 months and no stabil

I miss the ol girl

Christmas is forecast for 68 degrees and sunny, so we may. The kids/grandkids are all in Alaska and California, so it will be quiet here.

For us there was a boating lull in early November because of cold weather. Thanksgiving was a mild, calm day with crystal clear skies - so yep! Since then, we've been out four times. Our weather is kind of a roller coaster right now - down to 28F to 30F for a night or two, then back up to 60's during days with nights in the 40's and 50's.

Generally, we don't plan ahead very often when it's just the two of us going for an hour or two. We have discovered that we go far more often when it's spontaneous.

The electric lift drops the boat into the water in about 45 seconds. I do a quick visual inspection of all four sides, the transom and the prop, on the way down. A quick sniff test and hit the starter. I push out of the slip manually while the motor is warming up and my wife stows our gear, fires up the music and/or blender and hands me a beverage. So about 180 seconds after stepping foot on the dock, we are underway at idle speed for a bit, in order to get up to operating temp.

We keep the boat stocked with basics, so as someone else here recently said..... it's not really any more difficult than taking you car out to go to the store.

It takes us 20 minutes to get to marina, boating in 20 degree weather sucks tho

Supposed to be warmer so....

20 minutes = Very Good
20 degrees = Very Bad

In fact anything under about 60, sunny and calm sucks!

I won't see our boat till March. It is tucked away in a barn on Tenkiller

Hell yeah! Hooters is just 10 miles up the river. Will just pick the sunniest and warmest day, pull up with wife, kids and dog and enjoy beer and wings on the sunny deck

PS....I'm all for good wings and beer with the wife, kids (and grandkids), and dogs.

yeah, odd combo but we have been doing it for the last 15 years and its just a fun place to go......and, well, I like the scenery
