#1 Post by craigb » Fri Jul 24, 2009 6:59 pm

i have a 2001 mecury 75. noticed today with water hose ears that there is water coming out of a small hole on backside of motor down by shaft. is that normal?

When running your motor has 2 to 3 places water can exit. The so called Pee hole usually to rear and near the bottom of power head (also known as telltale).
Some have low speed or idle where water comes out of a port about 1/2 down the lower leg and the exhaust hub through prop. When under full power this middle port doesn't spill water under most conditions.

Hope this helps
