Adding extra U Bolts to stern for towing tubes, etc.

Hey all! We've spent the last 2 years rebuilding a 22ft Voyager with 90hp Honda from the deck up, and we're finally just days away from getting on the water finally! I'm wanting to add a couple new SS U Bolts to the stern of the boat for towing tubes, etc. Any advise on the best spots to install the new hardware along the stern? I don't have the $$ right now to add the TurboSwing that I'd like to get, so this solution will have to do for now. Just needing some good input from others first. Thanks!! :)

I have a Turboswing and it's great, but as you mentioned, it's kind of pricey. It mounts to the engine mount bolts, so maybe you could just add a couple of eye hooks to those bolts and use a bridle to connect your tow rope. That would give you a pull from the center of the boat on the strongest part of the boat.

Only problem i see is if you mount them to the edge trim, they will probably pull out the edge trim, can you attach to the top of the pontoon/deck connection?
Lot of stress...take pictues of back and under rear deck area

On my old boat we hooked a y harness to the lifting eyes on the rear of the toons. This worked great for tubes. If you did something similar with a tow harness I think you'll be fine as long as the u bolts are going thru structural components vs. just the plywood.

Sorry I don't have pix available right now, but I ended up adding new SS U bolts to each corner on top of the deck (bolted down through the aluminum deck). Nice and secure! Have a "Y" rope that connects to a single tow rope now (with a "booster ball" in line also). Ready to make some waves! :nana :)
