Bennington Privacy Enclosure

I just got a Bennington 20 SLL. The boat has a privacy enclosure. When they delivered the boat and we inspected the privacy enclosure, they had to unsnap the curtain in order to close the lid. It seems unlikely that Bennington designed that "convenience" so inconveniently that I would need to re-rig the curtain every time I open or close it. Does anyone have any experience with this? I want to make sure I'm being reasonable.
